BOOKINGS

We are a reliable, pre-booked private service. To avoid disappointment, book 24 hours or more in advance. Our office, 7 Katoomba Street, Katoomba is open from 9am Friday to Monday (every day during school holidays). We are not like taxis or other "on call" transport options like Uber. For private tours, a 10% deposit confirms your booking. For small group tours such as Megalong Valley Wine Tasting, payment is made in full within 48hours of departure.

PAYMENT

We will send you options for credit card or EFT payment. As soon as your deposit is received, your booking is confirmed. The balance is due 48 hours before the experience. Cash payments may be made in person at 7 Katoomba Street, Katoomba, up to the 48hour due date, during opening hours.

CANCELLATION

If your plans change, you’re welcome to reschedule or cancel your booking up to 48 hours before your experience for a full refund. For example, if your booking is for the 10th of the month, you can cancel anytime up to and including the 7th.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of your experience will forfeit the 50% deposit.

If you cancel within 24 hours of your booking, unfortunately, no refund is available. Cancellation time periods also apply to requests for shorter tour lengths than the confirmed booking.

Please note: If any of our terms and conditions are breached, Out of the Blue reserves the right to cancel your booking immediately without refund.

SMALL GROUP DEPARTURE TIMES

When booking a private tour, the timetable is up to you. However, when joining a small group tour such as our Megalong Valley Wine Tasting weekend tours, we must keep to scheduled times to be fair to all guests. Therefore, we will not wait longer than 10 minutes past the main departure time, and no waiting time at additional pick-ups along the route. Unfortunately, if you miss the scheduled time, your booking will be forfeited with no refund.

WEATHER & FORCE MAJEURE

Tours and transfers operate in most weather conditions. Standard cancellation periods apply in the event of inclement weather. In the event of extreme weather or unforeseen circumstances (e.g., road closures, natural disasters), Out of the Blue may alter or cancel your booking for safety reasons. In such cases, you will be offered a reschedule or a refund.

CHILD CAR SEAT SAFETY

Children aged under 7 years must use an approved suitable child restraint when travelling in a vehicle. We have a car seat suitable for children 6 months to 4 years (for our SUV, minivan not yet). If you do not have a suitable car seat for your child/ren, please notify us when booking. We may be able to supply one, at additional cost, but this is not guaranteed.

NSW LAW

Children aged under 7 years must use an approved child restraint suitable for their age and size.

Children up to the age of 6 months must use a rear-facing child car seat.

Children aged between 6 months and 4 years must use either a rear-facing child car seat or a forward-facing child car seat with an inbuilt harness.

Children aged between 4 and 7 years must use a forward‑facing child car seat with an inbuilt harness or an approved booster seat.

ACCESSIBILITY

Our minivan has a wheelchair lift for a single wheelchair. Our SUV vehicle is higher to get into than a standard sedan. Travel wheelchairs/walkers up to 20kg may be stored in the boot. Please let us know what you need so that we can confirm upon booking.

In accordance with local laws, registered support animals are permitted on our tours. To confirm eligibility, please provide valid registration documentation at the time of booking.

SAFE & RESPECTFUL BEHAVIOUR

We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. We have a zero-tolerance policy for abusive, aggressive, or disruptive behaviour. This includes failure to comply with safety regulations, such as wearing a seatbelt, or any level of intoxication that we believe could compromise safety. We reserve the right to refuse service at our sole discretion. In extreme situations, we may escalate matters by involving local authorities and proceeding to the nearest police station if necessary.
