Service Description
A relaxed, great-value way to experience the Megalong Valley wine trail — ideal for solo travellers and couples to join a small group and save on the cost of a private tour. With a local expert handling the driving, you can sit back, enjoy the Megalong Valley views, and discover boutique cellar doors whose wines aren’t widely available elsewhere (but, luckily, they can also deliver new favourites you may discover!). SAMPLE ITINERARY from 9:00am - FREE bag storage available at Blue Mountains Bag Storage, Katoomba, 10:30am Depart Katoomba train station, Goldsmith Place (north side) ~10:38am Pick up from outside Hydro Majestic Hotel ~10:45am Pick up Blackheath train station, ‘Kiss&Ride’ (Highway side) Wine tastings at Dryridge Estate & Megalong Creek Estate 3:15-3:30pm Arrive back at Katoomba train station TOUR DETAILS • Free bag storage from 9am at Blue Mountains Bag Storage (1 minute from Katoomba train station) before the tour departs, perfect to make the most of your time before check in or after check out at your accommodation. • Contact us for optional additional pick up or drop off locations. • Wine tasting at Dryridge Estate ($18pp) included. • Wine tasting and grazing box at Megalong Creek Estate ($25/2pp) included. • Group size: Solo guests are welcome. Tours run with a minimum of two guests, and a maximum of eight (including one wheelchair passenger) guests. • Confirmation & payment: 48 hours in advance when minimum numbers are met. • Vehicle: Travel in either an SUV or minivan, depending on group size. The minivan is used when the group includes a wheelchair passenger. • Weather: Tours run in all weather conditions, unless extreme.
Cancellation Policy
PAYMENT We will send you options for credit card or EFT payment. As soon as your deposit is received, your booking is confirmed. The balance is due 48 hours before the experience. Cash payments may be made in person at 7 Katoomba Street, Katoomba, during opening hours. CANCELLATION If your plans change, you may reschedule or cancel your booking up to 48hrs before your experience for free; eg booking is 10th of the month, you may cancel anytime up to and including the 7th. Cancellations made after that time will forfeit the 50% deposit. Within 24 hours, no refund is available. Cancellation periods also apply to requests for shorter tour lengths than the confirmed booking. If any of our terms are breached, Out of the Blue reserves the right to cancel your booking immediately without refund. WEATHER & FORCE MAJEURE Tours and transfers operate in most weather conditions. Standard cancellation periods apply in the event of inclement weather. In the event of extreme weather or unforeseen circumstances, Out of the Blue may alter or cancel your booking for safety reasons. In such cases, you will be offered a reschedule or refund. CHILD CAR SEAT SAFETY Children aged under 7 years must use an approved suitable child restraint when travelling in a vehicle. If you do not have your own suitable restraint for your child/ren, please advise us when you book. We may be able to supply one, at additional cost, but this is not guaranteed. ACCESSIBILITY We are happy to do whatever we can for anyone with mobility issues. Please let us know what you need so that we can confirm upon booking. LIABILITY While all reasonable care is taken, Out of the Blue is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or delay incurred during your tour or transfer except where required by law. SAFE & RESPECTFUL BEHAVIOUR We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. We have a zero-tolerance policy for abusive, aggressive, or disruptive behaviour. This includes failure to comply with safety regulations, such as wearing a seatbelt, or any level of intoxication that we believe could compromise safety. We reserve the right to refuse service at our sole discretion. In extreme situations, we may escalate matters by involving local authorities and proceeding to the nearest police station if necessary.
